2018 ferrochrome export tariffs

Recently, the Tariff Commission of the State Council released the "Tariff Adjustment Plan for 2018" to abolish the provisional tariff on the export of bars, rebar and wire rod and reduce the provisional tariff on exports of 200 series hot rolled stainless steel coils, ingots, billet and some ferroalloy products.

1.200 Department of the hot-rolled stainless steel coil, stainless steel ingots, alloy ingot, stainless steel billets, steel billet provisional export tariffs from 10% down to 5%.

2. General ingot, general billet export provisional tariff reduction from 15% to 10%.

3.High-carbon steel billets are down to 5% and 10% according to different uses. Among them, round billets for wheel use (diameter of 380mm and 450mm, tolerance of ± 1.2%, carbon content of 0.38% -0.85%, manganese content of 0.68 % -1.2%, phosphorus content ≤ 0.012%, total oxide content ≤ 0.0012%) from 15% down to 5%, other high-carbon billet from 15% down to 10%.

4. The provisional tariff on the export of ferrosilicon, ferrotitanium and ilmenite, other ferrovanadium, ferroniobium, direct reduced iron and other sponge briquettes was reduced from 15% to 10%.

5. Ferro-chrome export tariffs remain unchanged at 15%.
