The Shanxi Provincial Economic and Information Technology Committee recently announced a batch of iron and steel production capacity replacement programs involving Shanxi Jianlong Industrial Co., Ltd., Jincheng Fusheng Steel Co., Ltd., Shanxi Zhongsheng Steel Co., Ltd., Jixian Xinjinshan Special Steel Co., Ltd., and Shanxi Tongcai. Industrial Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. and Shanxi Hongda Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. are involved in iron and steelmaking projects.
According to the statistics of the business club, the capacity replacement projects involved in this time are reductions in volume replacement. It is planned to construct six blast furnaces with a total capacity of 8,160 m3 and a total iron-smelting production capacity of 7.065 million tons; the proposed converter will have a total capacity of 620 tons. Total capacity is 7.88 million tons. It is planned to phase out 12 blast furnaces with a total capacity of 5,810m3 and a total ironmaking capacity of 7,977,500 tons. It is planned to phase out converters and other capacities to a total of 680 tons, and a total of 8.26 million tons of steelmaking capacity (including production capacity for replacement of other projects).
